PRIME
DIRECTORY NUMBER
- Your main extension number (also known
as your primary directory number or PDN) is assigned to
the right-hand bottom key on your phone.
DIRECT
IN-WARD DIALING
- If your PDN is within the following
ranges: 4XXX you may receive incoming calls directly at your
work station without the assistance of an internal operator by adding (510)
259-plus the four digits of your extension.
GOODBYE
KEY
- Disconnect a call on any active
extension by hanging up the handset or by pressing the Goodbye
Key.

HOLD
KEY
- Place an active call on hold by pressing
the HOLD key.
- Return to caller by pressing the
extension key beside the fast flashing indicator.
VOLUME
CONTROL BAR
- Adjust the volume on your set by using
the volume control toggle key (<<<>>>).
- Raise the ring volume by tapping on the
right side of toggle key while phone is ringing.
- Lower by tapping the left side.
- For additional adjustments to Ringer,
Buzzer, Speaker, Handset, and Headset volumes, use your Navigation
Keys under Options. Press DONE to complete your change.

TO
PLACE A CALL
- Lift handset or press Headset key if
using a Headset.
- Hear dial tone
- Refer to "DIALING
INSTRUCTIONS" and begin dialing.
TO
REDIAL LAST NUMBER DIALED
- Press the extension key twice to
activate last number redial

- Lift handset, press indicated line once
TO
ANSWER A CALL
- Lift handset
-OR-
- Press the extension key beside the
flashing indicator
- Pick up handset
-OR-
- Press the extension key beside the
flashing indicator
- Begin speaking if Handsfree/Mute is
allowed
TO
TRANSFER A CALL
- While on an active call, press the
TRANSFER key
- Dial the number of the person you're
transferring to.
- Press the TRANSFER key again to complete
transfer.
- The original party is on hold and you
can either wait for the called party to answer and speak privately
before completing the transfer or you can complete the transfer while
it is ringing.
TO
RETURN TO THE ORIGINAL CALLER
- Before the transfer is completed, press
the extension key beside the fast flashing indicator.
- The called party is disconnected and you
are reconnected to the calling party.
TO
CONFERENCE A CALL
- While on an active call, press the
CONFERENCE key.
- Dial the number of the person you wish
to conference.
- Press the CONFERENCE key to complete
conference .
- You may repeat this up to 5 times to
include up to 6 parties.
- If the person you added to the
conference is unavailable, press the GOODBYE key, then press your Line
(DN) key to return the original call.
- Group listening allows you to activate
the speaker while speaking through the handset allowing additional
parties to listen to both sides of the conference. Refer to user guide
for additional information.

CALL
PARK (Parking the Call)
This feature is used to "park a
call" if a caller has requested that a person be paged or be located
within the organization. The call is put in a "parking"
situation and then is picked up by the called party when located. To park
a call:
- Press Park key
- See the (1000-1019)
- Press Park key again
CALL
PARK (Retrieving the Call)
- From any telephone
- Lift handset and dial the system park
number the call was parked on.
AUTODIAL
(Programming)
- Without lifting handset, press AUTO DIAL
key (Indicator light will flash).
- Dial the number you wish to store.
(Remember to dial necessary digits for outside line access).
- Press AUTO DIAL key again (Indicator
light will go out).
AUTODIAL
(Using)
- Lift handset, press AUTO DIAL key.
CALL
FORWARD
- Without lifting handset, press FORWARD
key once (indicator light will flash)
- Enter the extension that you want your
calls to be redirected to (must be a valid 5-digit extension).
- Press FORWARD key again (indicator light
will go solid).
TO
CANCEL CALL FORWARD
- Press FORWARD key once (solid indicator
light will extinguish).
TO
FORWARD TO LAST CALL FORWARD
- Press FORWARD key twice (indicator light
will go solid).

SPEED
CALL (Programming)
- Without lifting handset, press SPCCTLR
(SPEED CALL) key.
- While flashing, dial one digit access
code (0-9) then the number you wish to store in speed call list.
**Remember to include the necessary digits for outside line access.
- Press SPEED CALL key again (indicator
light will go out).
- You must repeat these same steps to
store each number, using a different one digit code each time.
SPEED
CALL (Using)
- Lift handset, press SPEED CALL key, dial
one digit code, wait for system to process call.
EXPRESS
MESSAGE
(To send a voicemail message
without logging into your mailbox.)
- Lift handset, press auto dial
pre-programmed for express messaging or dial x4443.
- Enter mailbox number, plus #.
- Leave Message.
- Dial 83 to log out of voicemail or hang
up.
HANDSFREE
(SPEAKER)
- To activate the speaker for handsfree
two-way conversation:
- Press Handsfree/Mute key
- Dial number
- When party answers, speak toward the
microphone
- To use handset at anytime during
conversation:
- Lift handset
- Speaker goes off, call is received
through the handset
- To return to speaker:
- Press Handsfree/Mute key
- Hang up the handset
- To mute (turn off) microphone while in
Handsfree mode:
- Press Handsfree/Mute key (indicator
flashes)
- The party on other end cannot hear you
- To turn the microphone back on:
- Press Handsfree key (steady indicator)

MESSAGE
KEY
(Direct Access to Call Pilot Voice Mail System)
- Lift handset.
- Press the MESSAGE key.
- Call Pilot voicemail will answer and ask
for mailbox number (your extension number).
- Enter your mailbox number followed by
the "#" sign.
- Enter your password followed by the
"#" sign (Your default password is 11 plus the your four
digit ext.).
- Follow Voicemail instructions to
retrieve messages.
DIRECTORY
DISPLAY AND CONTROLS
- The M3903 and M3904 have three directory
features that can be found under the DIRECTORY/LOG KEY:
- CALL LOG, records inbound calls. Can
be adjusted to log only unanswered incoming calls.
- REDIAL, records outbound calls.
- DIR, (Personal directory) saves calls
that have been presented to the CALL LOG or REDIAL by utilizing the
COPY key.
- The QUIT key ends an active application
which does not effect the status of the calls currently on your
telephone.
